[Fan Account] 2011 Malaysia Grand Prix Concert
I have never watched a F1 race (and I still haven't), but I felt like I had won the grand prix myself with this Malaysia F1 concert. Must thank my very special friend who mobilized her troop of army and who was in the driving seat. She did all the hard work, I enjoyed the sweet fruits.
We arrived at the airport before 5 am on 10 April in order to welcome our prince into Malaysia. There were about 30 to 50 of us, many wearing the special tee prepared by Rain Malaysia. A fleet of cars was already there, and the organizer representative took our gifts and promised that he would deliver them to the manager. I was so used to waiting for our prince now, and we were very good in looking for hints: we saw the doors of the cars being opened, we all felt excited only to see the doors being closed again. We saw passengers of the same flight coming out but no sight of our prince, and when someone told us "he's gone already, from another exit" it did create a stir amongst us. We guessed afterwards that indeed someone might have persuaded our prince to use an alternate route, but when our prince knew many fans were waiting outside he must have decided to walk back. Hence he was almost the last to come out. The midnight flight left no trace of tiredness on him, and he was in good mood. He waved to fans waiting inside the terminal, and when he came out of the building and saw the majority of us, he waved to us a couple of times before he got into the car. There was traffic ahead so the car needed time to pull out. We took the opportunity to stand beside the car and waved to him. Our prince rolled down the window and waved back to us before the car drove away. That sent all of us screaming like winning a lottery.
Fans started to line up at the entrance at about 5 pm. We learned from the security staff that our prince had his rehearsal earlier, had lunch and was now watching the F1 race. They also told us our prince would perform at about 9 pm.
The after race party started late at about 8 pm. By around 9 pm we were all getting impatient. A few men behind us shouted out loudly "we want Rain" - and we added our voices on top. Finally the real show began.
My feeling was that even though it was an hour show, our prince was trying to give the audience the taste of a full concert. We had the laser show as a start, and our prince performed 13 songs, including the encore songs. The pace was therefore fast, and I admired his energy as he performed almost non stop, with minimal change of costumes. He talked a bit to us in the interval, and he spoke good English. I noticed that people on the floor, men in particular, were all impressed by and amazed at his excellent vocal, powerful dance and his super energy. A father carried his young daughter on his shoulder the whole evening so that she could enjoy a good view of our prince (and I forgave him in blocking my view some of the time). Many young couples watched the show together, and the men seemed to enjoy our prince performance as much as their partners and cheered loudly. This gave me such proud feeling for our prince. He truly conquered the whole audience regardless of their age and sex. I therefore enjoyed the show from a different perspective this time. It greatly amused me watching how our prince's tricks worked on men and women, old and young, fans or otherwise – whether he took off his sunglasses and threw us a cute look and smile, or wiping his sweating face and body with a towel and throwing it to the audience, or moving his abs and showing his sexy dance. We all have the same response: loud shouts and cheers.
I believed our prince enjoyed his show as much as we did. After the encore he seemed reluctant to leave the stage, and he treated us with his bunny hip moves before he finally disappeared.
I had to leave as soon as the concert was over, and something wonderful happened to me.
It happened our prince was also leaving that night and although we were on different flights, we were heading for the same destination and we met at the airport. There weren't any other fan around. I saw our prince going through the security check. He didn't have any sunglasses or headphone on, and he wasn't accompanied by his usual team of manager and security guard. He probably did not expect to see a fan either. So I was a bit worried to approach him, as I really did not want him to feel disturbed or whatever. I called my friend and told her that, but she encouraged me on, because I really had something I wanted to tell our prince.
So when he came out from the security area and we were just about a meter or so away from each other, I bowed and said to him "Rain, thank you for a wonderful concert tonight". He smiled to me, his eyes all in one line, and gave me a thumbs up. I was totally hypnotized. I believed I said "see you soon" and we turned to go our separate ways. I then realized may be I should see him off as he had to take a train to his gate. So I turned back and followed at a distance. I watched him enter the train and said goodbye to him in my heart. While in the plane I was like in a trance, his smile, his thumbs up kept appearing before me. If the flight attendant paid any attention to me at all, she must be wondering why this passenger seemed to be smiling to herself all the time...
And as a perfect end for another great beginning, I was able to welcome our prince too. We arrived at different terminals, but I was in time to wait for him outside the arrival hall. This time when he came out, he had his sunglasses on and he was cool and expressionless. He must be tired but he did nod to us as we called his name. We followed his big steps. His broad shoulders and his bag occupied my sight. They walked past the escalator, realized that and turned back, and I got a glimpse of our prince's face. He threw a side glance at his staff, as if to question him how they missed that, and then his broad shoulders was in front of me again as we turned and followed them up the escalator. We then saw him get into a car and waved goodbye. To some fans, this was the beginning of another trail. To me, I was like still in a dream...

Rain LIVE at the 2011 Malaysia Grand Prix post-show, 4/10/2011
This is a fan account. My very first fan account, so I would like to apologies to every one if I'm over-excited and too crazy in this fan account... But this is my real feelings and thought after watching Rain Live in 2011 Malaysia Grand Prix Concert, 10th of April 2011.
This is not a full concert, as he is invited for an after race (F1 race) concert but he really performed 110 point out of 100 points! Why 10 points extra? Let continue reading~ Hahaha~
After long waiting and stuck in traffic jam for almost 2 hours, finally I reach the concert venue. There were a lot of fans queuing, and crews were giving out paper fans and selling merchandise outside the entrance.
When I reach the venue, only I realize that's an outdoor concert. I was praying there will not raining tonight... These few days it almost raining whole day there. Choosing a right place and mostly one of the most good view angle available there. ^^ Lucky me but it's not really lucky... How I wish I'm one step further...
Before the concert start, organizer were picking up 4 fans and giving out rain's poster and other merchandise to them. Then, other crew were giving lots and lots poster... Two were drop one step in front and one is right beside me.
Haiz... Blamed on my short figure... > <
That's still ok, I accept the truth.
The concert start at 9.15pm with a list of hits songs of Rain,
Rainism, It's raining, Harudo, How to avoid Sun.
He really sweat a lot. May be is because of his hot dance and the super hot weather in Malaysia. It doesn't rain tonight, no wind.
He wipe off his sweat with a baby blue tower, and guess what? He throw the towel to the fans...
Again, the towel, drop beside my photographer. (2 step away from my position) He couldn't catch it, because he was shock by the time the towel was flying towards his direction and he is holding his camera... Getting shock when fans were screaming...
Finally a super fan girl, get the towel.
At the time I have the thought that I had chosen the worst place in that zone...
He continue the show with songs "Fresh Women" and "With you". It come to the most attractive part, 'Hip Song' ! He sing it without music background.

and the fan chant coming in:

He seems very satisfied with that and then....

The dancer and music coming in~ With his powerful, and sexy dance, every one have their good time~ A lots of foreigner, old aunties and uncles coming too~
This is the point where I would like to give him 10 points extra because he is so cute at the beginning, I think he forget the lyrics ~ But who care? He still sexy in this songs and adding a lot of cuteness in this songs~
He performed 'Love songs" "Sexy dance" and "Instead of saying good bye"’ ~ Sizzling hot as always~ My favorite songs~
That's the last songs and the shows end.
Cute face, Perfect body (he gain weight a bit... ^^), definitely the best dancing skill among the artists and I'm getting shock when I heard his live singing. I never thought he is that good in singing and getting touch by his 'love song'. Good in acting, performing... every thing is good~ Languages ! Great singer, dancer, model, actor, businessman, and designer!
It's a long time since his last visit to Malaysia. Lots of fans including me will not satisfy with that... The concert is perfect, but we still not getting enough!!! Rain, please come here more often and I wish that he can have his Concert- Rain The Best World Tour Concert 2011 in Malaysia too~
Thanks for reading this long fan account and I would like to apologize if I had mistaken any thing in this fan account... (Probably the orders of songs...)
Anyway, I really suggest that every one should watch his performance at least once in the life time if have chance. He is The King of Kpop, He is a legend. The way he working inspired me a lot.

South Korean Pop Star Rain Was A Strange Choice For A F1 Post-Race Party Treat But He Delievered The Goods

South Korean pop star Rain was a strange choice for a F1 post-race party treat, but he delivered the goods.
RAIN! Rain! Rain! Rainism reigned high as K-poppers were an exuberant presence among F1 race enthusiasts at the Petronas Malaysia F1 Grand Prix post-race concert on Sunday night.
Malaysian Clouds (Rain's fans) had been waiting all evening for South Korean sensation Rain (real name Jung Ji Hoon) to continue the adrenalin-pumping action at the hillside celebration party held at the helipad of the Sepang International Circuit.
The excitement raced as the lights dimmed at 9.15pm and Rain, an international star that’s ever larger than life, made his entrance to a screaming crowd.

Bursting onto the two-tiered stage with his powerful dance style, the buff all-action, all-singing entertainer was accompanied by six dancers as he ran through his hit songs including Rainism, Bad Boy, It's Raining and Nappeun Namja during his hour-long show.
Amid crowd-pleasing stage routines and the confetti blasts and fireworks, Rain kept the show going at full speed. He was the life of the party as he picked up the pace through the show. No he didn't rip off his T-shirt in Sepang, but that's concert conservatism here.
Surprisingly, I did not feel too disappointed when my scheduled interview with Rain had been cancelled at the very last minute, as that was typical of Korean artiste management. After all, I already had the pleasure of interviewing the extremely polite entertainer in Seoul for his portrayal of lethal killer Raizo in Wachowski Brothers-produced Ninja Assassins, his first lead role in a Hollywood production.
But, it was my first time at a Rain concert (so heartbreaking to have missed the one in KL in 2007!).
So, after the heavy downpour on Saturday, I kept praying that the rain wouldn't come on Sunday. Although, the Seoul-born singer would have looked absolutely badass in a wet T-shirt, I would rather stay dry in mine.
Well, it did not rain but the day was sweltering and humid. And, Rain was drenched in sweat as he declared his love for Malaysia but admitted he was quite overwhelmed by the heat.
But, it wasn't all bad as to the delight of local K-pop fans, Rain's T-shirt stuck to the bodalicious singer like a second skin. And the dance machine aimed to please as he worked his way from one thumping dance-pop number to another.
Music videos marked intervals where he made quick costume changes and addressed his adoring fans and thanked them for their continued support over the nine years of his entertainment career.
Timed at a little over an hour, his F1 show was awesome but seemed to end too soon. Fortunately, Rain fittingly closed his show with a poetic video message to demonstrate his gratitude to the Clouds faithful, and a promise to work harder and forge ahead in his career.
South Korea's biggest entertainment export, Rain has seven albums (six Korean and one Japanese) and 19 singles to his name. He picked the cream of the crop for his Sepang night out.
The tenacious 28-year-old singer-actor, who has been active in the entertainment scene since 2002, is slated for enlistment in the army for mandatory service this year and is set to wrap up shooting for another movie and roll out more concerts till year end.
That made Rain's Sepang appearance a special one for his devoted fans (mostly teenyboppers breaking a curfew!) despite previous post-race parties like Jamiroquai in 2009 and Wyclef Jean and Fatboy Slim last year attracting a far bigger, more international-looking crowd.
My only grouse was the haphazard organisation of the post-race event, resulting in a four-hour wait to cover Rain's concert!
The concert was preceded by the very sedate finale show of the Ford Models Supermodel of the World Search Malaysia 2011, which saw 12 lasses unimaginatively strutting their stuff on stage.
Luckily, media guests, race enthusiasts and K-poppers alike had respite from the boredom at the after-race party hosted by Chivas on site.
Fortunately, the lacklustre fashion show wrapped in half an hour, as the audience began to grow restless. The atmosphere only perked up when the deejays resumed spinning dance tracks and local act Joe Flizzow opened the concert with an upbeat medley of hip hop tunes in English and Malay.
It was a long night, but thanks to Rain’s showbiz professionalism, the masses had something to talk about from this otherwise underwhelming F1 post-race party.

Naked Rain Caught – In Sepang F1
Caught RAIN naked without makeup! He was the man for the concert after the F1 race in Sepang International Circuit yesterday.
As I was told to capture some photos at the grid lines, RAIN suddenly popped out from the corporate suite and with his iPhone4 to took the video, he blocked my view, my shots.
Knowing it was rain, I followed him across the street to another grandstand where there is lesser crowd. He sat there for a while. He left the place at 5pm, along with his crew and bodyguards.
He looked pale, doesn't he?
I think he saw me? What look look?
Finally, when he left the place I saw him holding a Tiger Beer. Can I say that he is the Tiger Beer ambassador? Or is it the only beer he drinks? ehm...
