[Fan Account] Love Tour Zepp Nagoya 1-2 July 2010

The first night started just like the previous concerts, except that when our prince was standing right in front of me and sang Shake Hands, I saw that he was trying hard to hold back his tears. After the song, he told us solemnly that he was saddened by the sudden death of Park Yong Ha. They were not very close friends, but Park and our prince were doing the same activities: drama, music and therefore he felt really sad. He asked us to join him to observe a minute of silence.

Our prince also told us that he had not been feeling well from the third concert onwards. He had not totally recovered from his flu yet. He stretched out one hand and demonstrated a lying down position – he was telling us that he was lying in bed in the hotel before the concert started.

The mood of the first night concert was therefore quite somber, though it got better as the show progressed.

He chose a boy and his sister for My Girl. He asked the boy "Do you like me?" The boy said yes. He then asked the boy "Why do you like me?" The boy replied "You are handsome". Happy with this answer, our prince asked the sister the same question. She did not seem to know how to reply. So our prince gave an embarrassing smile, and tried to encourage her to talk. She suddenly said she liked him because he was gentle. This made our prince even more embarrassed probably because he did not expect such answer from a little girl!

A small accident happened after Hip Song. The music for With You started. Just as our prince was about to sing, he stopped. One of the stage lights was broken so liquid and glasses were on the floor. He said sorry and asked us to wait. Staff came out to clean up. When he returned, he said he would start from where he stopped again.

There wasn't a lot of talking in the first night. He told us he had ramen. It was delicious but the food was too much so he couldn’t finish it. We pretended that we did not believe him and gave him a thumbs down. (The thumbs down sign was invented by our prince himself in the Osaka concert. Apparently he made this sign when he pretended he did not agree with what the fans said.) Seeing this, he gave us the half mocking, half scornful look again and smiled.

The mood of the first night was rather heavy to me. However in the second night, our prince had overcome his sadness and delivered an outstanding performance. I believed this was our prince's way to tell us that life had to go on no matter what happened, and that life could be and would be beautiful because of our own effort.

There were also a few "accidents" in the second night. When Rainism started, two dancers were supposed to jump up from the high stage on both sides. One dancer appeared on the right side and disappeared again. Apparently he had a fall but luckily it was not serious, as he walked back from the side later.

Prince Rain talked more than he did the first night. The fact that we had another round of age statistics showed that our prince was really back to himself. He saw some male fans and asked all male fans to put up their hands. There were quite a few and the one who was close to me said loudly "You are very handsome". Prince Rain must be flattered to hear that. He then asked all female fans to put up their hands and seeing the response, he smiled and said "I Love You".

Our prince reminded us not to give him chocolate as gifts anymore. He said he had to watch out for diabetes. To emphasize his point, he said emphatically: Chocolate. No. Then he wanted us to follow him. He said Chocolate, then put the mic towards the floor, and we said: No. He said again: Chocolate. We responded: No. He laughed, and said octopus was OK. We could give him octopus.

That night our prince chose a 10 year old girl for My Girl. She didn't seem to have much expression and did not really respond to our prince questions. So at the end our prince asked her if she was there because mum loves obba, dropping his head and laughing embarrassingly as he said so. Indeed the mother on the floor was more excited than her daughter up on the stage, and kept cueing her daughter to say "I Love You" to our prince!

More talk. As he was talking and walking along the stage, many fans in front gave him presents: an extendable long spoon, a plastic toy hammer, a pair of large plastic spectacles with no glasses. With one hand holding his mic, he tried to put it on with the other hand. It kept dropping because it was too soft and could not hold properly. At last he made it and then he asked the fan "Are you satisfied now?"

He talked about his drama. Shooting will be done in Tokyo, Osaka and Yokohama. When a fan asked from the floor where and when he gave that pretended sneering look again and said it would be secret.

He also said that he hoped fans would not follow him, as this would create pressure on him. He lost his privacy and he couldn't eat properly. Although he said it jokingly, I believed he was also trying to hint to us.

A fan threw up a pair of spectacles with old, droopy eyes painted on the glasses. He looked at it, tried it on, then looked at himself at the big screen and bent his back and laughed. He wore it and sang Free Way. He looked so funny that even the camera man had to freeze his look on the big screen.

When our prince performed Love Song, his white and diamond armour was not buckled up properly and it was wobbly as he danced. He realized and took it off earlier than usual. When he tried to pull up his tee to reveal his six packs, the tee did not go up smoothly so for a split second the tee was covering his head. He laughed at himself but still he delivered a very sexy wave dance. Dear prince, probably it's time to check the costume, or you are waiting for an opportunity to rip your pants again?!

Baekga did not appear at both nights during the encore. Instead his good dancer friend Nam Yong was there. Our prince gave a very sweet solo encore dance. He even held up his tee in his mouth to show us his six packs before he disappeared.

I was full of admiration for our prince after the show. He had his moments of ups and downs, but he would always overcome and stand up even taller, stronger each time. We love you, dear prince!

4 Jul 2010 - Love Tour Zepp Sendai [Fan Account]

I called the Love Tour "Close Encounter of the Rain Kind", twisting the name of a movie.
Thanks to my friend who acted as my personal translator, I was able to follow the conversations of our prince tonight, and enjoyed a very sweet, memorable Rain encounter indeed.

Our prince was in talk mood and play mood tonight. His performance was top class. I don’t need to repeat that. I would just capture what he said and some funny scenes. Please excuse me if the sequence was not in exact order.

Prince Rain started by saying that he had held 7 concerts (got ya prince, should be 8) and only Sapporo was left. He thanked the fans who followed him for the tour. Instead of age statistics, he asked fans who were from Sendai to put up their hands, then Tokyo. He then asked who were from Sataima! And he smiled with almost disbelief to see fans putting up their hands. As he walked along the stage he saw my light board and said "Ar, Hong Kong". Many fans called from the floor "Osaka", so our prince greeted them in soft Japanese way "Ah, Osaka, Osaka". Someone must have called out "Hawaii" as I heard our prince repeating that. I shouted with my friend "Taiwan". Diversified countries, diversified age groups, such was the magic power of our prince!

Our poor prince said he hadn't tasted the ramen in Sendai yet. At about 5.30 am this morning he felt an earthquake, and he shook his body to demonstrate the effect of the quake. He then asked fans in which country they had felt earthquake before. Somebody mentioned Kobe, and my friend mentioned Taiwan. I tried to ask (had to shout) our prince if he was scared. He did not hear me, but he continued to say (jokingly) that he was frightened that he might end in Sendai. He still had so many things to do: album, CF, drama, movies, and he still wanted to eat a lot of good food!

For My Girl, again our prince wanted to choose someone from the second level, but after zooming for a while he decided to choose an 11 year girl on the first row on the floor. At the end of the song, the girl asked him to sign on the white teddy bear toy. I didn’t know what our prince had written, but the white bear had quite a lot of black marks on its head and back, much more than just a name.

I could not remember which songs now, but our playful prince decided to change his voice. He would sing one line in his usual gentle and sweet voice, and then the next line he changed to a deliberately low, flat voice. He clearly enjoyed this new talent and creativity, and it proved to be very entertaining and fun. He was happy, we were happier.

And then we had a really long talk. Our prince thanked us for our love and support. He was very sincere. He told us that he had many dreams and thanks to us, all his dreams had come true. He said he liked to plan his dreams as he went to bed. When he just debuted, all he dreamt was to be able to release an album. When that dream was realized, he dreamt of winning an award. After the award, he dreamt of movie, and then a movie award. He thanked us again for making him realize his dream with the MTV award. He was now dreaming to have a concert at Eifel Tower in Paris, and in the U.S.A. He joked to us that it was OK if we did not buy ticket for those concerts. When we pretend to disagree and gave him a thumbs down, he pretended to be misunderstood and hurt and asked. "What do you want me to do? I know the ticket will be expensive, and I don’t want you to spend too much money!" Oh dear prince, you certainly have us totally in your hands!

Prince Rain also mentioned that even if he felt weak, as soon as he was on the stage he was full of energy. Then he mentioned about losing weight, and I could not remember how and why, he showed us that he had a belly by trying very hard to form a round belly and held it for a while.

Some fan gave our prince a paper fan. He looked at it. Asked jokingly if it was expensive. When the answer was yes he quickly put the fan inside the pocket of his pants.

Another fan gave him a very cute hair hand. He put it on, looked at himself at the screen, and laughed. He was so cute and adorable with the hair band.

He then said we could ask him questions.

A fan asked if he would hold a concert in Korea. Prince Rain explained that he was busy with the shooting of the drama, but perhaps at the end of the year that might be possible. I asked "What about Hong Kong?" He heard me this time and said "Hong Kong?" I believed he said he had plans to have concerts in China, and that he would travel to many places in Asia.

Someone asked if there would be a DVD for his love tour. His reply was that he was uncertain about this!!

Another fan asked if he would sing Love Song in Korean at the concert instead of Japanese. At first our prince said the decision was made by the producer. He then took the opportunity to ask us to thank his production team. After second thought he commented that perhaps he could sing Love Song once in Korean and once in Japanese. Loud cheers roared from the floor.

Even louder cheers when our prince indeed sang the song in Korean, followed by Japanese! Again he has us in his hands!

Baekga appeared for the encore Instead of Saying Goodbye. They cheered for each other to perform a solo dance. He blew us a big kiss before he disappeared.
