Rain magnificently won the 2011 TIME 100 Reader's Choice poll with more than half a million votes. Actor-singer Jay Chou came in a distant second.
After arriving at the Time 100 Gala, Rain tweeted, "The place I've come back to after 5 years... It's a feeling I can't describe with words! Back then, I thought my first time would be my last time but to think I came back! Maybe I'll be able to come again in a few years? Anyways, thank you everyone..I'm going to the studio now."
The TIME website even updated a slideshow of the gala with Rain posing with Bruno Mars!
