"Founded by Kublai Kwon, an English Ph.D. student-turned-promoter, Asian Hip Hop Summit was first held in 2002 at Seoul International Park in Koreatown, Los Angeles, on the 10th anniversary of the L.A. Riots. Asian Hip Hop Summit gave rise to a new teen-dominated Asian-majority arts subculture in Los Angeles, based around rapping, singing, poetry, DJing, and dancing. Today, this thriving K-Town scene is centered at the Jeet Kune Flow open mic (since 2004), still the longest-running weekly Asian open mic in North America.

The best of the Asian hip hop scene on the West Coast has led the way in maintaining Asian Hip Hop Summit as an annual festival of Asiatic rap in 28 cities across America and Canada. Asian Hip Hop Summit has gained a nationwide following because of its commitment to an ideal of artistic excellence & originality."

Take it from me; this is one tour you do not want to miss. Some of the hottest and most talented Asian American artists across the nation will be performing at this awesome tour and if you're a supporter of real AA talent, then I better see all your arses there. The Seoulbeats crew will be attending the New York show and getting you guys (outside of the country) the hottest footage and interviews so get ready for the "Asian Hip Hop Summit" behind the scenes.
