[Fan Account] 6to5 Fashion Concert in Hong Kong 5-7 June 2009

I know many fans were not lucky enough to be able to join us so I want to write up a summary for you all. This is a joint account summing up what some of us have witnessed. Hope you feel It’s Raining on you too as you read it!

5 June Arrival Hong Kong.

Over 200 clouds waited for Rain at the airport. Rainhk has made a beautiful banner. The stupid organizer did not arrange enough securities and as a result Rain had to leave from the so called “secret channel” to avoid chaos. Clearly Rain wanted to greet the fans outside because he poked his head out and waved to them.

Fans then have to run down to greet him as he walked to the car. Some managed to give their gifts to him as he got in.

Rain had dinner in the hotel and then went out for rehearsal in the evening.

6 June 6to5 fashion concert

Many fans started to appear at the venue at about 4 pm, although the concert did not start until 8.15pm. I collected my tickets from Rainhk and they did a marvellous job by giving away a really nice poster and ticket holder for each ticket ordered via Rainhk. Rainhk has also sent a beautiful flower arrangement to Rain.

Queues started to form to buy souvenirs as early as 4.30 pm. While waiting, I saw western and local young men coming for the show and they didn’t seem to be forced by girlfriends to come!! They looked happy so I believe they are fans too!

Again we were extremely disappointed by the poor management of the organizer on this souvenir shopping. As a result there was still a very long queue at 8 pm, when the show was about to begin. (They had to resume shopping after the concert.)

Many fans bought and changed into 6to5 tee shirts on the spot for the show! Rain has said he will perform even better seeing us all wearing cool and chic fashion! What could be cooler and smarter than wearing a 6to5 tee?! He sure is a clever businessman too!

Thanks to Rainhk I got very good seats, and I could really see Rain very closely throughout the night!

He started with “You” leading actress Li Da-hai to the catwalk, followed by other models. After the song he went backstage, and the big screens showing him walking through his hotel corridor into his room. (This was actually pre-recorded). He then sat down on a sofa, a lady pressed his “rocket” (I didn’t see this bit from my angle) and then he pressed a remote control, and the front stage started with the fashion show. I believe these are all Rain’s ideas as he is wearing his Producer hat this time.

The winter/fall clothes are very nice. I am not biased as I have asked people’s opinion and the feedback are all very positive. Designer Rain came out when the fashion show was over – he wore such a colourful rocket Tee! Really envy the CEO who always gets to wear the latest design!

And then it was singer Rain’s stage again! I really could not remember the sequence of the songs, because I went totally wild. I was really close to the right side of the stage, and many, many times Rain just stood right in front of us, killing us all with his magical voice, his sweet smiles, cute expressions, sexy dance movements. He is totally King of the Stage, and his charisma captured us all.

During the show Rain talked to us. He started with Cantonese to introduce himself. Then he asked in Cantonese if we were happy. And a loud reply “YES”. He said he was very happy too. Then he switched to English, asking us if we enjoyed the fashion show, if it was fantastic. Again a loud reply “YES, IT’S FANTASTIC”. He thanked his fans for their support, which gives him strength to always even do better.

We were still in Cloud 9 when he announced it was going to be his last song. Of course we won’t leave and we shouted encore. He then performed Fresh Woman. And a bonus It’s Raining and then he bowed and went backstage and gave us his flying kiss.

Bonus fan account: aftermath

He went to the same Korean restaurant which he went before for dinner after the show at about 10pm. He clearly was in good mood and waved to the fans waiting for him.

Came out from the restaurant at about midnight and went to the Beijing Club. Apparently the organizer has arranged a celebration party there.

Came out at about 4 am, still crisp and clear, smiling and waving to the fans waiting outside.

He’s supposed to leave on Sunday on the 2 pm flight, but we guessed he probably did not want to create chaos and confusion (which happened when he arrived) so he decided to change to an earlier flight and left the hotel at about 8 am for the airport. Probably he also guessed many of us will leave at around the same time in order to follow him into the airport (like me!). He out witted us again!!

So after a lightning visit of less than 48 hours to Hong Kong, he flew back home, leaving all of us still in a dream, missing him even more.
