Rain, 'Rainism' ranks personal best, 5th in Oricon chart

'Splendid start'

Rain who is preparing to go around Asia this new year, is receiving good news from Japan, his first Asia tour destination, making positive predictions towards his tour.

While he urgently held another fan meeting due to his fans' request in Japan, his 5th album, the Japanese version of 'Rainism' which was revealed on the 7th, charted 5th on the Oricon's daily chart that day. 5th place on the Oricon chart is Rain's personal best in Japan.

In addition, it is very rare that an album which wasn't created in Japan, but is a sort of license album, ranks 5th in the chart. Rain ranked 11th with his debut single 'Sad Tango', revealed on January 2006, while his second single, revealed on June of the same year, 'Free Way' ranked 9th place, and his first album revealed on September 'Eternal Rain' ranked 6th.

Rain who expressed that he will start an Asia tour in early 2009 upon revealing his 5th album 'Rainism' on October, has made a good start by selling out 8000 seats in just 4 hours for his Japan fan meeting, adding another fan meeting schedule, and ranking his personal best in the Oricon chart.

In addition, Rain who couldn't be seen in Asia due to his Hollywood schedules, have again, led the Korean Wave with his Japanese version of 'Rainism', his album released in 3 years in Japan.

Rain plans to hold 4 fan meetings with 11,000 domestic fans in Japan; 2 in Jeff Tokyo, Odaiba on the 12th, and 2 in Grand Cube Osaka, Osaka on the 14th.

In this fan meeting, he will reveal his Japanese version of 'Rainism' for the first time, along with 'Fresh woman', 'September 12th' which are included in his 5th album.
