10) Ninja Assassin/TBA 2009 - This is a Wachowski film in production credit only. It's being helmed by Mr. James McTiegue, the guy that brought us V for Vendetta. Sure I felt that V was hardcore persecution porn for the left-leaning politicos of our society - I'm sure Jenine Gerafalo had to wring out her granny panties when the flick concluded - but it was a very kick-ass persecution fantasy.
Ninja Assassin however looks positively delicious for those that enjoy a healthy diet of bloody Hong Kong cinema. A modern day Ninja, Raizo, hunts down and battles his own ruthless Ninjitsu clan, to save a girl, (Naomi Harris) in the streets and tenements of present day Europe.

Ninja Assassin Let’s Us Know When He’s Coming
Posted by Cole Abaius (cole.abaius@filmschoolrejects.com) on January 26, 2009
I know what you’re thinking. It’s not very clandestine for a ninja to announce his arrival. Mostly you only know when they’ve arrived because you’re either already bleeding to death from multiple stab wounds or you look around, and you’re surrounding by harp-playing angels.
Luckily, Rain and company are giving us a fair fight by announcing that Ninja Assassin is heading into theaters. And it’s sooner than we thought. Mark your calendars for June 1st.
The Wachowskis had a bit of a misstep last year with Speed Racer considering I was the only critic on the planet that loved it. But we’ve been psyched up about Ninja Assassin ever since we got a first look at last year’s Comic-Con and Rain told us in twenty-three different ways that he was very excited to be in the film.
