Rain used to throw up to keep on having good food

Star of the South Korean musical world Rain recently accepted an interview; recollected difficult past events of when he did not have money prior to his debut to treat his mother's illness, and still could not help but shed tears in his eyes. He also expressed his desire for his leading role movie to be the top of the US movie box office, and with a smile hoped that he will be able to achieve this dream in the coming year.

Rain, who is currently in Germany filming his first leading role movie , previously accepted a visit with South Korean movie magazine "SCREEN". With the title "It's Raining In Hollywood" the magazine described Rain's positive and courageous steps towards Hollywood.

During the interview, Rain mentioned again about how poor his family was when he was trying to debut; unable to pay for his ill mother's hospitalization expenses, and not having a single penny to pay for her pain killer injections. His mother eventually died from her illness. At that time he felt hateful towards the doctors, believing that they had no sense of humanity, and he also felt the brutality of the reality of life itself. Although this happened more than 10 years ago, as Rain referred to this incident, he still could not help but have teary eyes.

Rain also said that at that time he did not have money and would go hungry for 5 days. Until the time of his debut, he received training under a kind teacher named Park Jin-young, and once every week JYP would take him to a Chinese restaurant. Rain said that he would eat so much at the restaurant until he was completely full. But whenever he saw any leftover food on the table, he would run to the restroom to vomit so that he could eat the rest of the food on the table, because after that day, he would not have money to eat those delicious food again (he thought in his mind then).

HOPING TO BECOME US BOX OFFICE CHAMPION

After , Rain has gone on to play his first leading role in the movie . He spoke frankly about how he hoped that his first leading role movie will mount the US box office as champion, and with a smile hoped that his dream will come true next year.

As for Rain's fellow female apprentices the Wonder Girls, during their recent participation in a South Korean program they expressed that Rain has a great deal of personal advantages, and they have seen his earnest efforts of working on becoming a star. They hope that as a group they too could work towards their dream just as Rain is.
