South Korean star Rain will hold a fan meeting on June 30 in Japan's Tokyo. This meeting will be Rain's first time to hold a fan meet in Japan since the last one held 2 years ago on June 15, 2006 at Bodukan.
What is worth mentioning about this fan meet is that it is different from other South Korean star's fan meet: the fans will not be charged any entry fee. Usually Korean stars holding fan meets in Japan will generally have entrance fees, and for a top star such as Rain, the admission ticket usually is between 7000 to 10,000 Yen.
This Rain fan meet will have around 3,100 fans participating, and because it will be free, admission tickets for this block of people is estimated about 310 million won. In addition to that, the stage facility, fan meet location, accoustics, lighting and other hiring expenses and so on will amount to 150 million won; all of which will be paid for by Rain.
Rain indicated that holding this fan meet is his expression of gratitude towards his Japanese fans for their support in last year's Japan concert, and moreover the fan meet is close to Rain's birthday (June 25), therefore he expressed his hope to celebrate his own birthday together with his Japanese fans at the fan meet.
